Compare the Market car insurance review

How easy is finding car insurance on Compare the Market?

You’ve seen the annoying ads on the telly…it’s time to take a look and see if the web site is just as bad! Compare the Market is actually a very friendly web site. The call-to-action couldn’t be any clearer. The entry page has the enquiry form, and other than a car picture, not much else to distract the eye. The car insurance enquiry form is quick to fill in, although it does expand as you start to complete it, however there is nothing difficult to complete.

The car insurance results are returned in a simple to understand listing format, which also shows where staged insurance payments can apply which is handy.

My previous car inusurer was returned as number one, which was interesting as they told me when I changed my car that they couldn’t insure me on it…so the results aren’t 100% accurate – you’ll need to speak to the car insurer direct once you’ve decided who to use and make sure you qualify.

Worth getting a list of car insurance results though, even if the cheapest isn’t the best

Social Business and Pleasure Car Insurance

Find a Car Insurance Broker

Insurance Choice is a non-advisory broker. Ok, What this means is, car Insurance Choice are able to contact numerous insurers to obtain the best quote and cover for you, the customer. This is mostly an automated procedure, but in some instances bespoke solutions are required, such as medical conditions when applying for travel insurance. This is where Insurance Choice makes the difference as this is their speciality, along with other non-standard products.

Oh dear! What an awful looking web site!
Not sure what the designers or Insurance Choice were thinking here, the ‘bold’ font weighting on mouse over on hyperlinks or particulary annoying and the colours and fonts just naff looking. A very dated looking site, although to be fair I don’t know how old the site is..but being Insurance brokers you’d have thougth they’d have invested a bit of money into their site? Everyone needs insurance after all, it is recession proof!

The Get A Quote system is ok but stretches to too many screens (6), again something I’d look to strip right down if I was re-organising this site – the fewer the clicks the better right!?

Probably worth getting a quote as there is a lot of dross on other ‘comparision’ sites (I think my insurer is based in Gibralter, which doesn’t inspire confidence but hey, they were cheap)
